Why Climate-Controlled Storage?

Climate-Control Storage is the best way to protect your items from the destructive forces of Minnesota weather. Our climate-controlled storage units are located inside, and temperature is controlled 100% of the time. Your items do not experience storage temperature variation and the thaw-freeze cycle that can be so damaging.

How can I rent a unit?

You can rent a unit 24/7 through our website and you can move in right away (even on the weekend and off hours). You can also call seven days a week from 8:00am to 7:00pm. If we are away from the phone, please leave a voicemail and we will call you right back.

Will I need my own padlock?

Yes, you will need to provide your own padlock for your unit door. We recommend a disc style lock, which are available for sale at the facility. Just call or text 507-322-6155 to purchase one.

What items are sensitive to temperature and humidity?

Many materials and items can be affected by storage temperature variations. Items such as leathers, furs, clothing, paintings, film, photographs, furniture, antiques, musical instruments, wine, paper, software, and electronics can be damaged or affected if not stored in a climate-controlled environment. We maintain a temperature from 60-80 degrees all year round. We also monitor and control humidity.

Can I get to my items anytime that I want?

Yes. We offer a 24-hour computer-controlled security access.

Are my items safe?

Yes. We're watching your self-storage units with video surveillance that runs 24 hours per day. Secure self-storage is a priority for Eyota Indoor Storage.

How do I choose the right size for my items?

Give us a call. We can talk through the items you have and can recommend a size perfect for you We have many sizes of self-storage units available from a small unit 5’X5’ to a large unit 20’X60’. And we have many sizes in-between.

Can anyone get into my unit?

No. You hold the only key to your secure storage unit as you will provide the lock.

Do I have to carry my items to my units myself?

Eyota Indoor Storage provides carts, dollies, and furniture movers to assist you in moving your items to your self-storage unit

Should I put insurance on my unit?

It is always best practice when renting any storage unit to contact your insurance agent and add your storage unit to your home owners policy or renters policy. It is often free of charge or costs very little for the extra security.

What do I do with extra boxes or things I don't need when moving out?

To keep your rent as low as possible, we do not provide trash removal. Everything that comes into the facility with you, needs to go out with you.

When is rent due?

Rent is always due on the first day of the month. You can go online to "Make a Payment/Login" or call 507-322-6155 to make a payment over the phone. It is easiest however to setup on auto payment, so you don't need to remember every month.

Can I rent for less than 1 month?

We have a one month minimum on all of our units. If you only need it for a week, that is fine, but you will still need to pay for the whole month.
